Miss DC USA 2024 Contestant

Hi there! I’m Bridget Dotson, originally from the Midwestern state of Indiana, I have lived in Washington D.C. for the past 5 years. I am thrilled to have you join me on my journey to Miss DC USA! I am an advocate for global maternal and child health to U.S. policy makers, and the Founder of Signature Presence, which is devoted to mentoring early career professionals, in particular women, to navigate their careers with authenticity, alignment, and vision. Coming from a strong line of resilient women, I hope to inspire young women to show up and own their signature presence! I believe mentorship grounded in radical candor is pivotal to personal and professional growth and development. As a multicultural, bilingual woman, I plan to use these skills to reach the diverse community of Washington D.C., and hope that my legacy would be one that is people centered.

I am a former public policy staffer for the U.S. Senate and a graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington with degrees in Healthcare Management and Policy, and Spanish.

The 2024 Miss District of Columbia USA Pageant is an official preliminary to the Miss USA Pageant, the most prestigious pageant competition system in the world. The system empowers girls and women to realize their ambitions and build self confidence, acting as a catalyst for future personal and professional success.

Pageantry is an opportunity for girls and women to develop and nurture communications skills, public speaking skills, personal and professional development, community involvement and expand their network. It offers them a platform to influence change and serve as a transformational leader in their community.

As a delegate I am required to raise a sponsor fee in preparation for the pageant. As a sponsor, you play an integral part in helping me on my journey of self-improvement and social awareness. If I am crowned the next Miss District of Columbia USA, I will have the honor of representing the District of Columbia at the national Miss USA Pageant. I will also have the opportunity to make numerous local appearances and be involved with many national and local community organizations.
